Singapore Botanical Garden

Welcome again to my photography blog.

I used to photograph, seascape, sunset, sunrise and also love to shoot night mode on architectural sites. But, since that was a raining day, I have no choice but just to try those colorful flowers and orchids with some droplets on.

This particular image was taken at Singapore Botanical Garden. You will see some noise-liked affect at the background if you are that detail, actually it is not. (in fact I can remove it using photo shop, but I am a bit lazy to do it) The real story was I took it from behind the glass panel at "cool house" in Botanical garden Singapore. So there is a glass wall between the orchid and the lens.

Why cool house?? Yes it is damn cold inside the glass house. It is named "cool house" and artificially made cold inside in order for those orchids of cold weather to survive. In fact I have seen these orchids in my home town, which is about 6000 feet above sea level and nothing is new for me except the "cool house".

Enjoy.

Singapore Eye Singapore Flyer

Singapore Flyer at night.

Hope you would enjoy my photo blog especially to day post with tons of images. Let's take a ride our Singapore eye and enjoy the night photography.

Stay tuned!!

I'll give you some tips at the end of this post and every one would love it. :)

Although I have tripod with me while taking these photos, I didn't use it as I am a bit tired and lazy to prepare it. Thus the images are not as good as they supposed to be. :D :)

Taken at the end of the trip, and happen to be the lighting turns to red. I love the color.

In fact, it was cloudy the whole day but fortunately the clouds were cleared at the point of time taking this particular one.

Although some of these images were taken before dark, they are not bright enough as it was a cloudy day.

Tips-
before 31st Dec 2009, any student can enjoy the ride with only Sin$10 during week days. Normal price is
Sin$30 per head.

I didn't know that there is no specific time to take a ride, meaning, you could ride any time after purchasing a ticket(only 30 minutes). So those who love to take evening skyline photography need not to worry about the timing and weather. You can enjoy the ride any time of the day depend on the weather and your luck.

Well, this would be the last one for this post and hope you love my night photos. Please leave some of your ideas or comments to make my photos better. Many thanks. :)

Singapore Changi Beach

Hello everyone, thank you again for visiting my photography blog.

Again, here is another beach photo, taken at the east of Singapore. To be exact, it is situated at the northeastern tip of Singapore and very close to Singapore international airport. The beach is approximately 3.3 km long with stretches of sandy beaches between Changi Point and Changi Ferry Road.

It is a popular hangout for overnight family picnics, especially on weekends. One could enjoy fishing, watching landing airplanes, jogging and watching the sunrise or sunset. Sunrises can be viewed from the SAF Changi Ferry Terminal on the eastern end of the park while sunsets from Changi Point. Others may enjoy barbecuing, camping and watersports.

Probably this is one of the most beautiful places in Singapore for taking landscape, seascape and nature photography. Especially those who loves taking sunset or sunrise photos.

Temple on the hill

Hi, welcome everyone.

This photo was taken in January 2009 at Taunggyi, Myanmar. The city is built at an elevation of 4,790 feet above sea level. The name Taunggyi means "big mountain" in the Burmese language. Taungyyi is in fact quite progressive & perhaps the most beautiful city of Burma.

The temple is situated on top of the Taunggyi's mountain, probably at about 5500 feet from sea level. But it is accessible by car despite its high altitude. One can feel a very cool and fresh breeze from the top and enjoy the scenery of the sprawling city of Taungyyi. The scenery up there is awesome and perfect for landscape photography.

The distinctness is the built of the temple, which is different from those at the lower part of Myanmar.

Punggol beach Singapore

I am really passionate about nature photography and love to view some great photos of other photographers'. This particular image is from one of my beach front stock photography. Taken at Punggol beach, east of Singapore. You can get there by taking bus number 82 from Compassvale LRT(train station).

To be frank, the riverside is not much interesting for Punggol beach, but I noticed that the clouds were amazing. Until noon, I didn't have chance to go down to the seaside as the tide is still high. The sunrise would be beautiful but I miss it. However I took about 300 photos with majority of cloud photos. Cloud photography is also fantastic and a great aspect of nature photography. Here is the site of cloud photos and you may want to visit the site here

Kindly pen down some of your comments to make my photos better.

Many thanks.

Sunset at Sembawang, Singapore

I enjoy nature photography such as sunset, sunrise, landscape and night photography as well. Constantly changing light make interesting and beautiful sky as the sun sinks into the horizon. Taking sunset pictures could be challenging but also very rewarding experience.

I have a large collection of sunset photos, and this is one of them taken at Sembawang Shopping Center or SSC, Singapore. The view was fantastic and it is a rare opportunity to take a sunset photograph in Singapore, I mean in the residential area. Since there are no high rise blockage, you could have a large view of bright blue sky during day and beautiful sunset at evening. If you are interested in taking sunset pictures, but do not want to travel to the tip of Singapore like East Coast or Changi Beach, this place is highly recommended. Of course Changi beach is needless to say much more beautiful than this.

In fact, I was having my dinner at "Astons", which is a local restaurant serving verities of western food and it resemble their motto "Quality & Value for Money". The food was cheap but great. You could get there by simply take their shutter bus from Sembawang train station. On that day, I took three photos there and this is one of them.

Base on my experience, most of the camera's automatic setting for sunset results in a wash-out images. For this particular photo, I deliberately underexposed it by setting the exposure 1/3 down. This produced a far more desirable result with various and deeper colours. The exposure compensation button is normally labelled with a plus and minus symbol.

Hope you enjoy reading my post and your Constructive Comments Make my Photographs Better.
